Reflections From The Past

  1. Beautiful -- but I have to ask two questions:

    1. What is this building and where is it? (really two questions, but I made them one);

    2. What part of all of this is "Connected to the Vine?"

  2. Jerry and Suzy, thank you for the nice comment and question(s).

    The building is located in a very picturesque little community in the western Adirondacks called Wanakena. I believe (but not 100% sure) that this building would be the Rich Lumber Company Clubhouse. This building was reputed to have a recreation room, library, reading room, and in the basement, bowling alleys. I have enclosed a link too that will provide some additional basic information. I do have a contention with the link however; it claims Wanakena sits along the shores of Cranberry Lake. While Cranberry Lake is just “downstream” a relatively short distance, Wanakena actually is located along the banks of the beautiful Oswegatchie River.

    As for the continuation of the first question, I am referring to me as “Connected to the Vine” (John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches: He that stays in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.) Although, one can easily see that such beauty shown in the photo must be God’s creation, thus, “Connected to the Vine”.
