The slaves there must have had it better than at some places! Love the leaf color on the tree and the ground, and of course the curve of the walk leads you behind the bushes right to the cabin. Good composition!
Hello There, Hope you got the 'guided tour' of the tabby cabins... The Garden Club ladies were there when we visited---so we enjoyed hearing all about the history of those tabby cabins... Thanks for helping me to remember those great memories.
This is another beautiful photo from St. Simons. As Betsy said, we had a wonderful presentation in these cabins by the ladies of the Garden Club. They did a great job, and the cabins were fascinating.
It's so beautiful it just makes you want to cozy down and rest awhile.
ReplyDeleteThat's the best looking slave cabin I've ever seen. What an awful part of our history.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful and sad all at the same time.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors....agree with all the previous comments....
ReplyDeleteA beautiful little cabin in a beautiful setting coming out of such an awful time in history.
